Bristol based Claire Jayne and Associates Limited won gold at the fourth annual Meetings Industry Marketing Awards that took place at the Carlton Tower Hotel in London on Tuesday as part of VisitBritain’s team that won the Gold Award for the best live marketing event in the UK in the past year.

Claire Jayne’s contribution was to produce two themed dinners for 180 event organisers from around the world. The second evening’s Gala Dinner was so fantastic that the guests are still talking about it and as the judges commented on Tuesday night “The Gala Dinner had been an amazing event”.

Managing Director Claire Maudsley said: “We are very, very, very pleased with this award. It is a vindication of our attention to detail, the quality of our work and the impact of our style of immersive event that we have developed over the last few years.

Claire Jayne’s winning Gala Dinner. Claire Jayne’s brief was to showcase Wales to the “World” in a contemporary style:

Guests arrived through a side entrance into the National Museum of Cardiff and Wales where they were shown to one of the elegant upper floor galleries for a champagne reception surrounded with art by artists, such as Rodin and Monet. When dinner was announced the guests made their way down sweeping staircases to the breathtakingly lit large entrance hall, where they were seated at illuminated tables. High-design table centrepieces impressed the guests whilst eating dinner entertained by a string quartet.

Then the pace quickened with a 30-minute show set to music by Tom Jones. Four aerialists climbed high above the guests’ heads and performed a thrilling piece of aerial ballet, followed with acts of 20 dancers, 10 skaters, 4 musicians and a fire dancing show with computerised flame-throwers.
